Academic Workflows
Choose the kind of talk you are preparing. Each workflow points to a suitable template and the layouts, components, and theme settings you are most likely to need.
| Workflow | Start here | Best when |
|---|---|---|
| Paper talk | paper-talk template | You are presenting one paper or your accepted work. |
| Thesis defense | thesis-defense template | You need argument, evidence, limitations, Q&A, and appendix navigation. |
| Literature review | reading-group or seminar template | You compare papers, gaps, and research directions. |
| Results-heavy presentation | conference-lightning or paper-talk template | The talk is driven by metrics, ablations, and experimental evidence. |
| Course lecture | basic or academic template | You teach concepts, definitions, examples, and takeaways. |
Before choosing a palette, check the theme mode and contrast guide for readability recommendations.
These pages describe talk structures. CLI workflow apply is a separate action that appends snippets to an existing file. Use init --template to create the project shown in each guide.
